The International Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (IJCAHPO) will host a COT Certification Exam Prep Course on Friday, April 10. The Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) prep course will be held in conjunction with the Technicians and Nurses Program at the ASCRS Annual Meeting and ASOA Annual Meeting. This lively, interactive session will be instructed by Craig Simms, MEd, COMT, ROUB, CDOS, CRT.
Mr. Simms will provide a concise review of the 22 content areas on the COT examination. The prep course offers an in-depth review of all content areas covered in the COT multiple-choice certification examination, helping attendees focus their study efforts and strengthen their professional and examination knowledge base. A highlight of the session is a demonstration of the seven simulations as the final skill examination for certification.
The interactive format will provide a dynamic and engaging learning experience. Attendees will participate in an energetic discussion of skills and important tips to be successful. The session provides essential preparation resources for the IJCAHPO (COT) multiple-choice certification exam. Attendees earn 3.0 continuing education credits for participating.
